Babson Diagnostics, a science-first healthcare technology company, today announced the formation of a clinician relations team with experts from across the medical and diagnostics industries. The strategic hiring comes as Babson prepares for the commercial launch of BetterWay blood testing, which represents a leap forward in convenience and accessibility without sacrificing the quality, economies of scale, and broad test menu of laboratory testing.
BetterWay uses only a pea-sized amount of blood collected from a fingertip to produce medically accurate results clinicians and patients can trust. Since BetterWay does not require a phlebotomist to collect blood, Babson will expand blood testing to pharmacies and other convenient retail locations.
“Adding this deep bench of clinician relations professionals will allow us to interact and educate clinicians about our more patient-centered approach to blood testing,” said Tony Jones, Babson’s Vice President of Clinician Relations. “Their decision to join Babson underscores the innovation we are bringing to patient care and the anticipation surrounding the upcoming launch of BetterWay with retail partners in the Austin and San Antonio communities.”
Babson has developed innovations that unite less-invasive capillary blood collection at retail settings with automated sample handling and high-quality lab testing to improve the blood testing experience for patients. BetterWay’s test menu was created specifically to support primary care and family medicine, offering commonly ordered tests for annual wellness exams, chronic condition management, and screenings.
